Understanding of Korean Dialectology is aimed at broadening the understanding of each dialect by learning the concept of dialect, methodology of dialect study, survey and study of dialect. Dialects are largely divided into local dialects and social dialects, and this is where students learn specific examples of local dialects by phoneme, form, syntax and meaning.

Korean classical chinese literature is one of the major areas that constitutes Korean literature. Not only are there a large number of existing works, but they also express Korean’s unique thoughts and emotions in a different way and content than Korean literature. This course aims to cultivate basic reading comprehension and appreciation skills for classical chinese literature by selecting major works and reading them in their original texts. Through this, it aims to increase understanding of not only Korean classical chinese literature itself but also an aspect of Korean literature that developed in various forms in the pre-modern period.
